I adore how I feel right now. I'm listening to Michael Bublé and just loving the fact that I finally got my new Ubuntu (linux) server set up completely, that is, minus an ftp. But the ftp is not of necessity at all, merely to have perchance to store stuff. Unlike windows servers, linux divides up everything into modules, which gives the user more power, but also adds to the things that can possibly go wrong in setting it up. After about a week of overtime work on the damned thing inbetween class and whatnot, the beast is complete. I also have IMAP which I didn't have on my old server. Man, just thinking back on how crappy Hendrix's server was, they should really adopt what I'm using. So yeah, as always, meade@kincke.com is back with a vengeance.

On a different note, I'm writing this journal with a wonderful little linux app called Drivel. It has all the features of livejournal, but in an application, so's I don't have to deal with a messy and annoying webpage. I dig linux much. But more to the point that I actually wanted to get to: I'm getting my Tulane ring this Friday. I originally didn't want to get one, but I'm hella psyched that I am now. With the Katrina messiness, this year has felt like some sort of bad dream. It feels somewhat less surreal and moreso just plain old real. It is going to be strange getting my ring when I'll be the only senior I'll know though.

Also, I received a book I ordered in the mail the other day: Osteopathic Principles In Practice. It's one of the books I'll read first/second year in med school, and I wanted to treat my brain to something completely different and actually entertaining. I can't quite grasp how to end this little ditty, so "to quote Ross, 'I'd better be going.'"
